The Audemars Piguet CODE 11.59 self-winding chronograph is housed in an 18-carat white gold case with a sunburst lacquered surface in smoked blue and fitted with the Audemars Piguet 4401 calibre. 18-carat white gold case, bezel, lugs and caseback, with a double glareproofed sapphire crystal and caseback. With a sunburst motif on the smoky blue lacquered dial, white gold applied hour-markers and hands, and a black lacquered inner bezel, this new collection opens a new page in the Manufacture s history. The Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic round watch, with a structure featuring multiple facets and curved surfaces that conceal many hidden but unobtrusive decorative details. With a domed case that breaks with the Royal Oak s deeply rooted octagonal image, the number 11.59 means the last minute before midnight, the last minute of tomorrow, and is named after the Audemars Piguet AP, which emphasises the importance of always being ahead of tomorrow s first steps. Over the past four years, Audemars Piguet AP has added new materials and functions to the CODE 11.59 collection, most recently including the long-unseen star-wheel watch and steel, making the CODE 11.59 collection both extremely complex and simple.
