BREITLING Breitling has launched a new upgraded Chronomat mechanical timing series, among which the AB0158101L1A1 watch retains the classic Chronomat design language and iconic flanged timing ring of the 1980s, while comprehensively innovating the case and strap structure, bringing a thinner and more comfortable wearing experience and more exquisite craftsmanship details.
This stainless steel watch has a classic diameter of 42mm and a significantly reduced case thickness of 13.77mm, which is noticeably thinner than the previous generation s 15.1mm. It also features a new hidden ear design with smoother and more integrated lines. The watch has a water resistance of 200 meters and is paired with curved sapphire crystal glass with double-sided anti glare treatment, ensuring clear reading under various lighting conditions.
Breitling integrates traditional split timing rings, inserts, flanges, and screws into a single component, which not only enhances structural stability but also makes the appearance more concise and clean. The one-way rotating ratchet style timing ring retains the classic raised flange, numerical and minute scales, while reducing the size of the crown shoulder guard, resulting in a more coordinated overall proportion. The inner circle no longer features the previous generation s 1/100 scale, further simplifying the visual hierarchy.
The dial features a deep and charming green tone, paired with a contrasting black timing dial, creating a strong sense of sporty luxury. The three-dimensional hour markers and central pointer are coated with Super LumiNova luminous coating, ensuring clear reading in dark environments. The display function includes a central hour and minute hand, a small second hand, a timing second hand, 30 minute and 12 hour timing dials, as well as a date window located at the 6 o clock position, with a clear and practical layout.
The power core is equipped with the Caliber B01 automatic winding timing movement made by Breitling, which has been certified by the Swiss official observatory. It is equipped with guide column wheels and a vertical clutch structure to ensure precise and smooth timing function start and stop. The movement has a vibration frequency of 28800 times per hour and is equipped with 47 gems, providing reliable timekeeping performance.
The watch is paired with a classic stainless steel Rouleaux ball strap, equipped with a hidden butterfly clasp and a Breitling patented fine-tuning system, which can accurately adjust the strap length, adjust different wrist sizes and wearing needs.
