BREITLING has upgraded its Chronomat mechanical timing series and launched the B31 Automatic 40 AB3114101L1A1 watch. This three pin calendar watch made of stainless steel material is introduced in the classic size of 40mm, which sets it apart from the 42mm B01 chronograph in the same series and provides a more suitable choice for wearers who love the Chronomat style.
The watch is made of stainless steel with a case thickness of only 10.99mm, paired with an integrated case and bracelet structure. The hidden lugs design makes the overall lines smoother and more compact. It has excellent waterproof performance of 200 meters, and the mirror is a curved sapphire crystal glass with double-sided anti glare treatment, ensuring clear reading in any lighting environment. The unidirectional rotating ratchet bezel retains the iconic raised knight mark, numerical and minute scales of the Chronomat, continuing the series consistent practical sports attributes.
The layout of the green dial is simple and clear, with hour, minute, and second hands set in the center, and a date display window equipped at 3 o clock. The three-dimensional hour markers and central pointer are both coated with Super LumiNova luminous coating, ensuring clear reading at night. Unlike the multi dial design of the B01 42 chronograph model, this watch sacrifices the timing function in exchange for a more open and transparent visual effect of the dial. The core is equipped with the self-produced Caliber B31 automatic winding movement from Breitling, which has been certified by the COSC Swiss Observatory for precise and stable timekeeping. The vibration frequency of the movement is 28800 times per hour, providing approximately 78 hours of long-term power reserve to meet the needs of long-term wear. The watch is paired with a classic stainless steel Rouleaux bracelet, equipped with a hidden butterfly clasp and a Breitling patented fine-tuning system, which can finely adjust the length of the bracelet and greatly improve wearing comfort.
