OMEGA Ultra Deep Summer Blue Planet Ocean 6000M: A masterpiece of craftsmanship for deep-sea exploration
The OMEGA Ultra Deep Concept Edition watch participated in the Five Deeps Expedition in 2019. This journey was of great significance. It successfully explored the abyss of the earth s deep sea and created remarkable history. After setting the world record for deep diving, Omega took this opportunity to carefully design a series of watches specifically for adventure lovers. It is worth mentioning that during the development period, these watches were also rigorously tested in a real marine environment to ensure their water resistance to a depth of up to 6,000 meters (20,000 feet). They were also successfully certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology and met the ISO 6425:2018 saturation diving watch standard, fully demonstrating their excellent performance.
This watch, with a diameter of 45.5 mm, is made with great ingenuity in its choice of materials. Both the case and bracelet are made of solid O-MEGASTEEL material, which provides strong durability for the watch. The surface design is even more unique. It pays tribute to the mysterious deep sea and vividly depicts the Challenger Deep, the deepest part of the Mariana Trench. This exquisite pattern was hard-earned. The Five Deeps expedition team spent nearly one million sonar points to successfully map this secret underwater realm. In addition, the surface of the watch is finished with lacquer, which cleverly highlights the deep layering and makes the design more attractive. What is even more commendable is that its design is full of fun. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the words OMEGA WAS HERE will appear, which not only points to the world record of deep diving of 10,935 meters (35,876 feet), but also presents the West Pool, Middle Pool and East Pool of Challenger Deep, adding unique commemorative significance and fun to the watch.
The design of the case back is also meaningful, showing the commemorative seahorse logo engraved by laser. The composition uses the Greek mythological god Poseidon holding a trident and two seahorses as elements, cleverly combining Omega s 1956 prototype classic with the latest design, reflecting the brand s pursuit of tradition and innovation. At the heart of the watch, the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement 8912 is built in, providing strong support for the precise operation of the watch. As for the watch strap, the material used is O-MEGASTEEL, the buckle type is a folding buckle, and it comes with a diving-specific extension section. This design fully considers the actual needs of diving enthusiasts and reflects Omega s attention to details.
In general, the Omega Ultra Deep Summer Blue Seamaster Planet Ocean 6000m watch is not only a diving watch with excellent performance, but also a work of art that combines the spirit of deep-sea exploration, exquisite craftsmanship and creative design, providing a unique choice for watch lovers and explorers.
