The snowflake generation method is considered to be the original creation of contemporary master Alain Kirchhof. The snowflake setting method takes VVS1 diamonds ranging from 0.5 to 1.6mm, cuts them first, and then arranges them evenly on the case, presenting them in a smooth and natural arrangement, as if they were snow-covered, with a very smooth and supple feel to the touch. Before performing the snowflake orientation method, firstly, the inserter has to select the most suitable diamonds from the best rough diamonds, then cut and polished them to the required size, and then, through the skillful technique, lay the beautiful diamonds on the case one by one, after the completion of the work, the beautiful diamonds look like snowflakes encircling the watch with light flowing, which is extremely beautiful, such as this rose and white gold 7099 Extremely Elegant, Gondolo. The newest model in the Haute Joaillerie collection features an elegantly curved tonneau-shaped rose-wire case, paved with orientless diamonds and a precious handmade Ref. 25-21, also set with diamonds, and a refined hand-wound rectangular movement. The case is set with 480 diamonds (approx. 3.31 carats), randomly set, which is particularly valuable in a world where batch mechanical production is commonplace. The hand-engraved gold dial with 367 diamonds (~0.56 ct) is accompanied by gold cabochon hour-markers. The five-prong clasp is set with 26 diamonds (0.15 ct) for a total of 873. Because of the randomness and uncertainty of the snowflake overlap, not all craftsmen are capable of handling them, and so they are ultimately invaluable. The hard lines, classic style and simple geometry of this watch are a modern interpretation of Art Deco style, and it s no wonder that the brand s logo reads, No one ever really owns a Patek Philippe, they just hold on to it for the next generation.
