NEW PATEK PHILIPPE GRAND COMPLICATIONS 5339R-010

Additional information

A collector s favourite ~ Patek Philippe has produced a number of excellent Tourbillon and Minute Repeater timepieces, model 5339R-010 is a very rare combination of two complicated functions, 18k rose gold case with matching 18k rose gold clasp, hand-wound Patek Philippe calibre R TO 27 PS, composed of 336 parts and 28 jewels, white enamelled dial with rose gold hour markers, small seconds at 6 o clock, minute repeater will tell the time on demand via a slider at 9 o clock, backed by a 60-second Tourbillon escapement, and a minute repeater. White enamelled dial with rose gold applied hour-markers, small seconds at 6 o clock, minute repeater to strike the time on demand via a slider at 9 o clock, 60-second tourbillon escapement, diameter: 36.5 mm, thickness: 12.5 mm. The tourbillon is a representative of the complexity of the world of Haute Horlogerie, and there are few mechanical devices that can match it. The tourbillon removes errors (or regulates) the transmission of kinetic energy between the watch s escapement (i.e., the balance wheel, hairspring and escapement), and the main focus is on the 360-degree rotating frame that holds the escapement, which, when the entire escapement structure rotates regularly and continuously on the same axis, theoretically counteracts the effects of gravity. The effect of gravity can theoretically be counteracted. Another complication is the minute repeater, which strikes the gong repeatedly at every hour, quarter or minute to produce an audible chime. The chimes are activated by pressing a button on the side of the case or by pushing a slider. 5339R-010 not only sounds beautiful, but the RTO 27 PS calibre parts under the see-through cover are also meticulously crafted, and when the chimes are activated you can watch the tourbillon in action and the mechanics of the minute repeater mechanism, such as the speed regulator and the hammer, at once - an absolute feast for the eyes and the ears.
