A collector s favourite ~ Patek Philippe has produced a number of excellent Tourbillon and Minute Repeater timepieces, model 5339R-010 is a very rare combination of two complicated functions, 18k rose gold case with matching 18k rose gold clasp, hand-wound Patek Philippe calibre R TO 27 PS, composed of 336 parts and 28 jewels, white enamelled dial with rose gold hour markers, small seconds at 6 o clock, minute repeater will tell the time on demand via a slider at 9 o clock, backed by a 60-second Tourbillon escapement, and a minute repeater. The tourbillon is a representative of the complexity of the world of Haute Horlogerie, and there are few mechanical devices that can match it. The tourbillon removes errors (or regulates) the transmission of kinetic energy between the watch s escapement (i.e., the balance wheel, hairspring and escapement), and the main focus is on the 360-degree rotating frame that holds the escapement, which, when the entire escapement structure rotates regularly and continuously on the same axis, theoretically counteracts the effects of gravity.
