Starting from this year, Swiss luxury watch brand TUDOR has established a partnership with Alinghi Red Bull Racing, the favorite Alinghi Red Bulls sailing team for the America s Cup. The Alinghi Red Bull Racing monohull hydrofoil AC75 combines carbon, titanium and stainless steel to create a proprietary composite that enables the boat to break the waves at speed. The Pelagos FXD watch also combines different materials for its functionality: a lightweight and robust high-tech carbon composite for the case and bezel, titanium for the bezel, crown and pushers, and 316L stainless steel for the case back. The 43mm size of the new Alinghi Red Bulls Special Edition Pelagos FXD Chrono is also a breakthrough for the collection, and is the first chronograph in TUDOR s history to incorporate a fixed bracelet bar case. The brand has taken its cue from the AC75 monohull hydrofoils, including the color scheme of sailboats, whose hulls and sails are dark blue with red accents echoing the Red Bull brand s dynamism. The Pelagos FXD Chrono has a dark blue dial, a red chronograph seconds hand and a bi-ocular chronograph subdial with red rims, and a face made of a luminescent ceramic composite. The hands and rectangular hour-markers, which are made of luminescent ceramic composite, are white in color and stand out clearly against the dark blue dial, making it easy for the wearer to read the time. The unidirectional rotating bezel was developed by TUDOR in collaboration with French Navy combat divers.     Beautiful watch and it looks like it cost a lot of money. Easy to read and the best thing about it is-----it fits my wrist and doesn't move up and down or fall off. I haven't found one that I like better and I have been looking for sometime now. Great purchase.

    Best deal for the money that I can think of. I constantly get asked if it is real. It's nice and heavy. has 21 jewel movement (which is excellent and wasn't even mentioned). The only negative is that the gold plating doesn't go all the way around the links, just 50%. Kind of cheap in that sense.
